One Night Getaway!

So having 2 girls and a dog it's hard to be spontanus. Well, Friday nights are our date nights to be able to do what we want as the girls go to the grandparents. So hubby calls me up as the girls and I are walking home from the bus stop and tells me to pack our bags we are going away for the night. I had no idea where we were going or anything until hubby got home. It's not easy packing when you don't know where you are going. By the time hubby gets home the girls have gone to the grandparents along with the dog. Hubby tells me when he gets home that we are going to the hotel that we stayed in for our Honeymoon 7 years ago!! That was so exciting to me!! We've been wanting to go back there, but it's expensive and we couldn't afford it. Not to mention when we went there the first time it was a gift from his aunts to us. Hubby was in the right place at the right time and got a great deal. So we load up the car and off we go on a romantic getaway for a night. We had dinner at Cracker Barrel and stopped at Wal-mart for shoes because I forgot his and we were going to be walking on the beach. OOPS!! We get there around 8pm or so and check in. We stayed at Sandpiper at Tradewinds. We were going to go to the bar on the beach that we had went to on our Honeymoon, but it was closed for renovations. We walked the beach and then walked up and down the road and ended up at 7-11 for snacks. Can't believe I ate the whole bag LOL I ate a whole bag of gummy bears as we were playing a new monopoly card game that I only won once!!

Here are some pictures of our room.

Here is a picture of some swans that were sleeping as we were taking our walk.

Here is the sign of the hotel at night

Today we went to breakfast and a couple shops and then it was off to lunch before we headed home. Lunch was AWESOME! We went to this restaurant that is called Spinners. It's at the very top of this hotel and it's a revolving restaurant. It was a very neat experience and one that we will like to experience again.

Here are some pictures from this awesome experience!

Here is the front of the building

Right at the very top is where we ate

This was one of the views

Here was a view of the beach. At one point all you could see was the water

They had signs at different parts as you are rotating. I saw this one and thought of my friend Mindi who lives in NM.

Then I saw this one and thought of my friend Tracy who lives in New Zealand.

So after a nice relaxing and reconnect time with hubby we get home to a nice quiet house as the kids and dog are not home yet. Then the girls come home and they are in the living room playing the racing game on the Wii and you can hear them start to fight and I tell hubby "We're home"
